Lady In Red

Stopped to take a break. NOLA is hot and sequins do not breathe.

Not that you ever need a reason to get dressed up in NOLA, but the Red Dress Run is an excellent one. This past Saturday was RDR. This year’s “run” (though I don’t recall seeing anyone running, lots of tennis shoes and race numbers, but no running) started in the Marigny at Washington Square winding its way through the quarter and of course down Bourbon Street.

There’s nothing like a sea of people, young and old, male and female, drunk and sober, waltzing through the streets in their finest red dresses. Buckhead Betty let me borrow some great thrift store finds for the occasion. My dress (sans shoulder pads) was so on par, the cast of Dynasty would be jealous.
