Wednesday Wind Down

Now that Jazz Fest has come and gone this year (posting miscellaneous JF pics soon), I am faced with a post-JF depression. Much like when Mardi Gras rolls in and out, I always get a little sad. The anticipation for long days and nights of musical revelry and liquid libations is nearly (nearly) as much fun as Jazz Fest itself.
Jazz Fest is a nice answer to Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras takes care of the winter duldrums and Jazz Fest takes care of the antsy desires for spring and summer fun. But now that Jazz Fest has said hello and good-bye, Wednesday at the Square offers some semblance of the ‘Fest and a nice break in the middle of the work week.
This 12-week free concert series with food and drink to benefit the Young Leadership Council and its many philanthropic efforts is legit. A perfectly great way to wind down after your hump day (or power through the rest of your week). Not to mention, a great place to people watch of the young professional type. The 12-week run is nearly over as the summer heat creeps in, but before its over Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Trombone Shorty are both written in my day planner.
Check out this link for the rest of the schedule: Wednesday at the Square. Music breaks up my mid-week blues, what works for you?
