A Stately Affair

United States Pendant

The 2012 Olympics in London has many of us wanting to rep our stars and stripes as we cheer on Team USA. For those of us not as lucky to attend the Olympics, *clearing my throat and referring to no one in particular*, we are left to cheer from our couches and rep our country stateside.

Louisiana Pendant by Kris Nations

Kris Nations‘ State Pride necklaces are such a sweet way to rep your home state. Below sea level or not, New Orleanians are quick to rep their city and the state they call home. That’s why when Kris Nations came out with her State Pride necklaces, I wanted to make sure I picked up necklaces for my sisters and I.

A and B both received one for their birthday. It’s a distinctive and stylish way to remind them both of where they were born. A and I are both NOLA babies. Fun fact: Mom and Dad said I was their Mardi Gras souvenir. B, though, is a Texas gal.

Definitely check out Kris Nations’ website for her full collection of jewelry made in the USA from recycled metals.

Hattie Sparks

If you live in or are visiting the New Orleans area, you can find her State Pride necklaces at the darling boutique Hattie Sparks. Which by the way, I highly suggest popping into. Hattie has done such an awesome job of curating her store with charming items from clothes and jewelry to home goods, greeting cards, and art.

I plan on returning soon for a few sets of greeting cards. I love sending hand written notes with something uniquely New Orleans on it. I’m hoping the Christmas season will offer some cute holiday cards I can send to friends and family!
